Vermentino is a white wine grape variety we have selected due to its natural affinity for warmer climates.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from Chittering, in the northern end of Perth Hills wine region. The vineyard sits within the Darling scarp at approximately 300m above sea level, beside a creek bed. It is on very light and well drained alluvial sands – ideal for the production of aromatic and elegant dry whites.

Hand-harvested in the early morning before chilling overnight, the fruit was gently crushed and pressed before fermentation in stainless steel tank. The inert stainless steel surface is ideal to focus fruit freshness and vibrancy. Combined with a long slow, cold ferment the resulting wine is allowed to champion the crisp, saline and elegant natural fruit flavours of the variety.
