Shiraz is a red grape variety that is widely grown in many wine regions around the world, including Australia. It is known for its rich, full-bodied wines with flavours of dark fruit, black pepper, and spice. In Australia, Shiraz is the most widely planted red grape variety. Shiraz is a versatile grape that can produce a range of styles, from lighter, fruit-driven wines to more complex, structured wines that can age for decades.

For this wine, Shiraz fruit was hand harvested from two vineyards within the Perth Hills and one vineyard in the Swan Valley. Fermentation occurred in traditional open top fermenters where the cap was worked every six hours for eight days before pressing to oak. The wine was matured in a mixture of new and older American Hogsheads. It shows intense dark fruit characters coupled with spicy flavours.
