A traditional dry aperitif style sparkling made solely from Chardonnay grapes.
THE STORY
The Methode Traditionelle is a traditional dry aperitif style sparkling made solely from Chardonnay grapes (i.e. a Blanc de Blanc). It derives it’s flavour
profile from the time on yeast lees in bottle (minimum 3 years). A small dosage liqueur at disgorgment is used to soften the crisp acidity.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose the Methode Traditionelle has wonderful soft lifted very yeasty notes, the palate is clean, fresh and acidic, with some lovely lemon curd and
yeast autolysis characters. This wine is a perfect aperitif, dry, crisp, and refreshing. It will also go very well with freshly shucked oysters.
