2009 Mourvédre
Mourvédre is a Spanish varietal also known in Australia as Mataro.
It is commonly used in red blends such as Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvédre,
however, on this occasion we have decided to keep it as a straight varietal
to explore it’s spicy fruit characters.
The small experimental parcel of fruit was hand picked from our Carmel
Valley Vineyard and hand crafted into a medium bodied, dry and spicy table
wine.
Bottled after a year’s maturation in French oak hogsheads, this wine is
ready to enjoy now or can be cellared for the short to medium term.
$24 bottle $259.20 per case
